Chelsea Gilson grew up in Plymouth, Massachusetts with a contractor father and real estate agent mother. She graduated in the fifth percentile from Assumption College in 2010 with a bachelor of the liberal arts degree. There, she double majored in Psychology and Spanish and completed the Honors Program with a cumulative GPA of 3.9. After college, she headed west and began working in the entertainment industry. Chelsea worked her way through the ranks from casting assistant to casting associate before taking a position as a theatrical agent. Her career led to countless successes for breakout actors and actresses, but something seemed missing.
In May of 2013, Chelsea chose to leave the agency to pursue hosting, writing, and acting. She has hosted shows for Travel Channel, CBS, and Weather Channel and her name will be gracing the credits of quite a few independent movies this coming year. Her writings have been featured in various publications and she has gained recognition as an evaluator for 4 and 5 star restaurants. But yet, she still did not feel entirely satisfied.
While assisting a friend in the management and leasing of a few properties, it clicked. As a theatrical agent, Chelsea excelled at pitching, negotiating and closing the deal. It was what she was selling that seemed to rub her the wrong way. That day, Chelsea enrolled in real estate classes and never looked back. She still enjoys the arts, and fosters these endeavors frequently, but they are balanced by her drive to excel as a realtor.
Chelsea believes a home is much more than a house. She comprehends the breadth of the construction, appreciates the architecture, and has an eye for interior design. With a vast network in Los Angeles, strong sales skills and a true love of Southern California, Chelsea is proud to have joined the ranks at Peter Lorimer Group and excited for a long and prosperous career in real estate.
